What are the KET and PET Cambridge Exams?
The Cambridge English Qualifications are internationally recognised benchmarks that map directly to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). While Cambridge has updated the official names of these exams, their rigorous global standards remain the same.
- KET (A2 Key): A2 Key is mainly relevant for younger primary applicants, especially lower-primary students. It helps show that a child can understand and use simple English in everyday situations, including basic phrases, self-introduction, simple questions, and short interactions.
- PET (B1 Preliminary): B1 Preliminary is more relevant for upper-primary applicants.
